Last Saturday, February 1st, our North Bay CVE team sponsored the annual Marin Builders Association Crab Feed. Our team was there showing support for a great organization and doing some major grubbing on some delicious crab! Glenn Accornero, one of our owners was surrounded by our amazing staff, friends and family. It was a great way to bring some key members of the team together to celebrate the work we do in asbestos abatement and demolition in the Marin community and beyond.
Are you thinking about renovating your home? Asbestos is highly dangerous when moved or disturbed, both of which may occur during a renovation. If you are renovating your old home, you need to be extremely careful about disrupting building materials that may contain the colorless, odorless, naturally occurring mineral. If you are thinking about a home renovation, you should make sure to remove asbestos before starting the project, and call one of the top asbestos removal companies in San Diego to ensure that the job is done safely and properly.
During much of the 20th century, builders used asbestos as a roofing and floor backing material. It seemed, for practical reasons, good business sense to add the material to roofing products. Asbestos is found in a wide range of both indoor and outdoor roofing components. If discovered, regulated asbestos containing materials, can present certain concerns and problems. If you have identified asbestos in roofing materials used on your house, you should call the leading professionals for asbestos removal in San Diego to make sure that disposal of the material is done safely and properly, and meets legal disposal guidelines.
Are you planning to renovate your home? If so, there are quite a few things you need to primarily consider before the actual renovation begins, including the removal of asbestos. This is especially important if you own a house that was built before 1990. This is because asbestos is commonly found in these older homes. Therefore, it is important to test for the hazardous material, and know what to look for, and how to safely remove it from your home. To make sure that asbestos is properly removed from your home before you renovate it, you should research asbestos removal companies in San Diego, and hire the best one to get the job done for you.

In the past, companies that produced roofing materials added asbestos fibers to their products to strengthen them, to provide a limited amount of fireproofing and insulation, and to increase their durability. However, the use of asbestos in roofing has rapidly declined since the early part of the 1980s. Some of the common roofing products that may contain asbestos include:
Asbestos is a mineral fiber that occurs naturally, and is found in soil and rocks. Because of its strength and resistance to heat, it was widely used in construction for cements, roofing shingles, textured paint, and floor and ceiling tiles. However, the fibers of asbestos can be inhaled, and result in health conditions such as asbestosis, mesothelioma, lung cancer and others. Given its well-documented danger to humans, it is not used any longer, but can still be found in older constructions. When found in a building, asbestos removal is necessary. However, you must take considerable care when removing and disposing of asbestos.
Our Fresno Team recently worked on the El Capitan Hotel in Merced, California. This was an enormous 4 story hotel that required asbestos abatement before we gutted it. This classic hotel is getting a major remodel into a boutique hotel that will be a great sign of change for downtown Merced. CVE Demolition was happy to be on site working with other teams to kick off this project.
